Auction Buying Check List
The following is a list of helpful tips to follow when preparing to participate in an Auction.  If you have any questions, please call our office at (941) 927-8108 for a FREE, no obligation consultation.

Contact the Auctioneer The Professionals at Florida Auctioneers & Realty are prepared to supply you with information concerning specific items or properties as well as the auction process itself.

Inspect the Property Take full advantage of any inspections conducted  and schedule a private site viewing. This will allow you to see first hand what you are bidding on and help determine value and desirability. This allows you to bid with confidence.
Prequalify Yourself Increase your comfort level by knowing your mortgage qualifications. Even before you decide on a property to buy, you should get pre-qualified by a lender to insure your ability to close the transaction.

* There is never a mortgage contingency at a real estate auction. By getting pre-qualified you can bid with confidence!

Plan Your Bid Strategy Determine your bid limit after examination of the property and all available information.  Don’t be afraid to submit a pre-auction bid.

Register To Bid All bidders at an auction are required to register in order to receive a bidders number. Check the auction terms and conditions for instructions.

On auction day,  you can join us live onsite or bid from the comfort of your home via the internet.

Bring Deposit

If you are the successful high bidder at an auction, you will be required to affirm your bid with a signature and deposit.  All deposits must be in earnest money form, i.e. cash, certified or bank check.  Credit cards are accepted at all other type auctions. Deposit requirements and amounts are clearly listed in the Terms & Conditions section.
Prepare for “Q & A” Prior to the start of bidding, the auctioneer will conduct a question and answer period.  This is an opportunity for registered bidders to ask any last minute questions before the auction begins.
Bid Aggressively Bid until you have won or reached your limit.  There can only be one winning bidder for any item or property.  Therefore, you cannot BUY at your price unless you BID your price.  GOOD LUCK!
